Pickled Red Onions
What You’ll Need:
1/2 red onion
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (or whatever vinegar you like)
1/2 cup filtered water
1 tablespoon black peppercorns
1 tablespoon minced garlic (or 2 garlic cloves)
1 tablespoon maple syrup
pinch of sea salt
The Method:
Slice the onion into thin slices.
Place the onion into a glass jar or airtight container.
Add the apple cider vinegar, filtered water, black peppercorns, garlic, sea salt and maple syrup to the jar.
Mix the ingredients in the jar with a fork, until thoroughly combined.
Cover the jar with the lid and shake for good measure.
Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
Enjoy within the next 5 days on top of salads, sandwiches, avocado toast, and more!
